If you contact me through the contact form on dancotton.uk, I may collect the following personal information:
- Name
- Email address
- Message content
How I Use Your Information
This information is used solely to respond to enquiries submitted through the website’s contact form.
The legal basis for processing this information is legitimate interest, as it allows me to respond to messages and provide information about my services.
How Your Information Is Stored
Messages submitted through the contact form are stored in the website’s backend database and may also be accessed through my administrative tools in order to respond to enquiries. A copy of each message is sent to my email inbox, and a short notification containing your name and the start of your message is posted to a private Discord channel so I can respond promptly. Reasonable measures are taken to protect this information.
How Long I Keep Your Data
I retain contact form submissions only for as long as necessary to respond to enquiries or maintain relevant business correspondence.
Sharing Your Information
I do not sell or trade your personal information. Data may be processed by service providers involved in hosting the website where necessary to operate the site. In addition, the contact form relies on the following services:
- Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that the form is being used by a person rather than an automated bot. It processes technical information about your browser and connection, such as your IP address.
- Mailgun, which delivers the email notifying me of your message.
- Discord, which receives the short notification described above.
Your Rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- request access to the personal data I hold about you
- request correction of inaccurate data
- request deletion of your personal data
- object to or restrict certain types of processing
